The viral marketing campaign for Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice appears to have kicked off with a faux Lex Luthor interview for Fortune.com. In it, the character discusses inheriting LexCorp from his father, the company’s stance on weapons manufacturing for the military, his public perception as a “warmonger” and much more.
Perhaps most interesting, however, is that it’s revealed that Jesse Eisenberg will actually be playing Alexander Luthor Jr. – meaning that his father was Lex Luthor Sr., and possibly hinting that the version of the character Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck will be going up against in the movie will be the son of the original DC villain. Either that, or they’ve just played around with the mythology a little – but it would make sense given how young this incarnation of Luthor is.
The article goes on to describe the character as “a 31-year-old wunderkind who transformed an aging petrochemical and heavy machinery dinosaur into a tech darling of the Fortune 500 in what some call a superhuman feat,” so he’s clearly responsible for turning his father’s company into the major force it’s become.
You can check out the interview in full at the link below, and be sure to keep an eye peeled for more viral marketing in the lead up to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s March 25th, 2016 release.
