Lionsgate has released the stunning IMAX poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 today. As you can see, it features a visually striking image of Jennifer Lawrence and is accompanied by the tagline, “Nothing Can Prepare You For The End.” For hardcore fans of these movies, that’s no doubt true, but the latest trailer made it clear that they’ll get a satisfying resolution.

Here’s the synopsis for the highly anticipated release:

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow [Donald Sutherland] in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale [Liam Hemsworth], Finnick [Sam Claflin] and Peeta [Josh Hutcherson] – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

Fans of the franchise were divided when it was revealed that the studio had decided to split the final Hunger Games book in two, and the first Mockingjay movie was criticized for its lack of action as it slowly built towards the final chapter. Watching the films back to back, though, will no doubt be more satisfying, but it’s still made the year long wait for the conclusion pretty difficult.

Thankfully, it’s nearly upon us now, and this poster serves as a nice reminder that we’re only a little over a month away from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2‘s release.
