Electronic Arts has mapped out its sales estimation for DICE’s soon-to-be-released licensed title Star Wars Battlefront, gauging that the high-profile shooter is on course to sell upwards of 13 million units within its first four months on the market – before March 31, 2016, essentially.

This comes hot on the heels of the overly successful beta test for Battlefront, which itself brought in over 9 million unique users across its week-long period of testing. Couple that with the excitement generated for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and EA and DICE’s shooter couldn’t be releasing at a more opportune time.

Addressing the early estimation – which is up from the initial estimate of 10 million – CEO Andrew Wilson spoke to the company’s investors to say that:

“What we have seen is that Star Wars is bringing in two groups that are very important groups to us,” Wilson revealed. “One are gamers that have lapsed, traditionally who have been big gamers in the past and maybe haven’t played for a while. It’s certainly been a catalyst for those people to come back into the gaming universe as it relates to console. And two, onboarding a new younger age demographic.”

Star Wars Battlefront launches across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 17. For those who pre-order DICE’s shooter, the Battle of Jakku DLC will go live at the beginning of December, bridging the franchise’s lore between Return of the Jedi and J.J. Abrams’ upcoming – and “incredible”Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
