Has Garret Dillahunt Been Cast As Negan In The Walking Dead Season 6?

Rumour has it that Negan will first appear in the season six finale of The Walking Dead. For those of you unfamiliar with the character, he's a foul mouthed thug who uses violence and intimidation to bully the other communities and take a share of their supplies (those communities are expected to be introduced later on this year when it's revealed in the show - as it was in the comics - that the Alexandria Safe Zone isn't the only one out there).

Needless to say, Rick Grimes doesn’t take too kindly to this, especially as Negan actually murders one of his best friends with his signature weapon (a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire called “Lucille”) when they first meet.

A number of very big names have been thrown around as being possible contenders to play the fan-favourite villain, but AMC is understandably keeping their plans under wraps in a bid to surprise fans. However, could the actor set to take on the role have inadvertently confirmed his involvement in a recent Twitter post?

As a result of the above Tweet, it’s now become a popular theory that Garrett Dillahunt (perhaps best known for his roles in Justified and Deadwood among several others on both the small and big screens) has been cast in the role of Negan. After all, this volume of Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard’s The Walking Dead is where Negan was introduced, and the timing works out perfectly.

For now, it remains to be seen whether or not Negan will show up in the season six finale of The Walking Dead AND if Dillahunt is playing him. There’s no denying that this would be a pretty great casting choice though.
