Following tonight’s shocking episode of Gotham, which saw things between Detective Jim Gordon and Barbara Gordon finally reach a head, not to mention a dangerous new alliance between two future Batman villains, Fox has released a promo for next week’s instalment.
Season two has been consistently good so far, and while Gotham is arguably still plagued by some tonal issues, it’s definitely found its footing and makes for fun viewing each week. The slow build this year is really paying off, too, though as you can see from the promo above, things are really beginning to heat up!
Here’s a synopsis for “A Bitter Pill to Swallow,” which sheds even more light on what’s to come:
Gordon and Barnes continue cleaning up Gotham, and Gordon comes face-to-face with one of the city’s most dangerous hitmen, Eduardo Flamingo (guest star Raul Castillo). Meanwhile, Nygma and Penguin cross paths again, and Bruce pressures Galavan into handing over the name of his parents’ murderer in the all new ‘Rise of the Villains: A Bitter Pill to Swallow’ episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, November 16th on FOX.
We don’t actually get a great look at Flamingo in this promo, though comic book fans will know him as a fairly recent creation from Grant Morrison’s Batman run. What Gotham does with him should be very interesting, but that pales in comparison to what’s set to happen when The Penguin and The Riddler join forces.
