Angelina Jolie hasn’t exactly been having very good luck at the box office lately, or with critics for that matter. That hasn’t seemed to hurt her though, as Universal is still hoping to work with the actress/director on two of its upcoming projects.

In a recent, and very interesting piece published on THR called “Will ‘By The Sea’ Kill ‘Favor Movies,'” it’s mentioned that the studio is currently talking with Jolie about both The Bride of Frankenstein and Wanted 2. No word on if they’d have her direct either film, but apparently they’re hoping that she’ll at least get in front of the camera.

Given that Jolie usually only directs more personal projects, it’s unlikely that she’ll sign on to helm either one. However, there’s definitely a good chance that she’ll star. The Bride of Frankenstein seems like more of a long shot, but I don’t see any reason why she wouldn’t reprise her role in Wanted 2. The first film was pretty well-received and though her character died at the end of it, she’ll apparently be brought back for the sequel.

It’s still early days for both projects, but if there’s one thing that’s clear, it’s that Universal is still interested in doing business with Angelina Jolie, and we imagine that they’ll be able to snag her for at least on of the two aforementioned films.
