On the eve of the threequel’s hotly-anticipated release, Avalanche Studios and publisher Square Enix have debuted the official launch trailer for Just Cause 3, and it isn’t what you’re expecting.

While the sizzle reel is understandably jam-packed with every kind of explosion imaginable – from downed helicopters to mid-air collisions – as the video is the result of a community challenge staged by Square, it’s a little outside of the ordinary. Swapping intense swells of orchestral music for, er, rapping, the footage features CoolTwinSkittles’ take on the Just Cause 3 launch trailer, which won over the publisher’s judging panel from a pool of 1,200 entries.

Entitled, ‘Explosion Rap Video’, the clip above does exactly what is says on the tin, showcasing some of the more outrageous stunts, weaponry and survival skills of one Rico Rodriguez, who returns for Avalanche’s upcoming actioner, setting foot on the Mediterranean peninsula in order to topple General Di Ravello and his totalitarian regime.

Just Cause 3 is on course to launch across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC tomorrow, December 1.
