The Playlist is bringing us some exciting news today, revealing that John Krasinski, star of The Office, is set to join Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Armed Robbery and Eskimo Kisses, which will act as the directorial debut for Matt Damon. The project is set up at Warner Bros. and the script follows a man “who goes on the lam with his daughter, his accomplice on a three-state crime spree.”

It has been mentioned that Damon was looking to star as the father but since it hasn’t been confirmed, my vote is for Krasinski to take the part. It’d be nice to see him take on a different type of role for once. He’s a great actor but one who usually sticks to comedy, I’d love to see him do something more serious like this. Either way, he’ll bring a lot to the film despite what role he ends up in.

This project is shaping up very nicely. I’m confident in Matt Damon and I’m sure he’ll do a fine job behind the camera. Adding John Krasinski was a great choice and the script sounds interesting. So all in all, count me as excited for this one.
