The CW has released the first official images from the midseason finale of Arrow, and while they’re a little light on superhero costumes, there’s still a lot to be intrigued by here.
For example, there appears to be some sort of attack during an event held by Oliver Queen as part of his mayoral campaign. Could this be what leaves one of Team Arrow in the grave that we saw near the start of the season?
There’s also a shot of Captain Lance locking lips with Felicity’s mother (Oliver, Laurel and Felicity learning about that should be fun) and yet another confrontation between the heroes and Damien Darhk.

After the city is attacked again, Oliver (Stephen Amell) makes a bold move against HIVE. Malcolm (John Barrowman) checks in on Thea (Willa Holland) andleaves her with a warning. Things take a horrible turn when Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) retaliates in a brutal manner at Oliver’s mayoral holiday party.
That’s not the most exciting batch of images or synopsis for the show’s midseason finale, but based on how this season of Arrow has so far played out, chances are that this is going to be a big one.
A major character’s death seems like the most likely swerve, and with speculation running rampant in regards to which member of Team Arrow is going to meet their maker, here’s hoping the episode provides some answers.
