With Taika Waititi (What We Do In The Shadows) recently signing up to direct Thor: Ragnarok for Marvel Studios, the highly anticipated threequel has now found a writer. Thor and Thor: The Dark World scribes Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle previously worked on the screenplay, but now Stephany Folsom has been chosen to give it a polish.

Don’t worry if that name doesn’t ring a bell; Folsom is best known for Black List script 1969: A Space Odyssey or How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon (the title explains the premise of that one) and The Princess of North Sudan, Disney’s story of an American man claiming a territory in Africa and proclaiming himself and his family its royal rulers.

As for this particular project, Thor: Ragnarok will see the return of Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, while it was also recently confirmed that Mark Ruffalo will be showing up as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Tom Hiddleston is also expected to appear as Loki, and while there are lots of rumours about the direction the film will head in, plot details remain a closely guarded secret for the time being.

Thor: Ragnarok is set to be released on November 3rd, 2017.
