Outed at last June’s E3 expo, the first episode, The Walking Dead: Michonne was just given a February 2016 release window. That means a bit of a delay from what we were once told, because when the miniseries was originally announced, it was slated for release this fall.

Comprised of three episodes, The Walking Dead: Michonne is set to explore what drove the fan favourite away from her group, and what made her come back afterwards. As such, it will take place between issues #126 and #139 of the zombie-filled comics. And, instead of being voiced by Danai Gurira — who portrays the character in AMC’s hit TV adaptation — our heroine will be played by Orange is the New Black alum Samira Wiley.

Expect to see The Walking Dead: Michonne as a downloadable option on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Windows PC, Mac, Android and iOS.
