The Rogues Unite In Promo For Midseason Finale Of The Flash

The CW has released the first promo for next Wednesday's midseason finale of The Flash, and it does a great job of setting the stage for the villainous group known as The Rogues to come together for the first time. With Mark Hamill reprising the role of The Trickster, this instalment of the hit series should definitely receive a lot of attention, especially as it's so close to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Here’s the synopsis for the episode, which is titled “Running to Stand Still”:

When Mark Mardon AKA The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) returns to break Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) and James Jesse AKA The Trickster (guest star Mark Hamill) out of Iron Heights, Barry (Grant Gustin) must stop these rogues from taking over Central City during Christmas. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) meet Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale).

Seeing as Captain Cold will soon be seen in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, it seems unlikely that this episode is going to end with him assembling The Rogues. In fact, his appearance in Barry Allen’s house could be an indication that he will actually give the Scarlet Speedster a heads up about what Weather Wizard and The Trickster have planned, something which makes sense due to him and The Flash having been reluctant allies of late.

That being said, the biggest question going into this episode of The Flash is whether or not Zoom will make his presence felt, especially as this is the midseason finale, and fans are thereby expecting it to set up the second half of the season in 2016.

We’ll have to wait and see, of course, but this is one episode that you’re not going to want to miss.
