Chris Hemsworth Would Like To See Thor Join The Guardians Of The Galaxy

Obviously the core characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe share the screen in the Avengers movies, but they also pop up from time time in each other's solo big screen outings - all except for a certain band of intergalactic a-holes, that is. The Guardians of the Galaxy exist within the main MCU, but because their adventures are set in space, it's a bit more difficult to have, say, Captain America drop in to borrow a cup of sugar. The Guardians of the Galaxy exist within the main MCU, but because their adventures are set in space, it’s a bit more difficult to have, say, Captain America drop in to borrow a cup of sugar. Then again, there are a couple of big Marvel players that could believably venture out into the cosmos; one of whom is the Mighty Thor.

While interviewing him about his new movie, In The Heart of the Sea, MTV asked Hemsworth which franchise he’d most like to see Thor cross-over to, and he replied with the following:

I’d love him to hang out with the Guardians crew. I love that film and there’s a great amount of fun to be had.

Indeed there is – and Thor would actually be a great comedic foil for the likes of Rocket and Drax. Unfortunately, though, it’s not likely to happen for quite a while, as we know the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel won’t feature any Avengers cameos, and it’s highly unlikely the God of Thunder will be too concerned with their antics during the events of Thor: Ragnarok.

Tell us, would you like to see Thor interact with the Guardians Of The Galaxy at some point? Sound off below and let us know.
