A New Look At Carrie Fisher’s Leia In Latest Star Wars: The Force Awakens TV Spots

Another couple of TV spots for Star Wars: The Force Awakens have been released, and they contain quite a bit of new footage. The first is actually another extended Disney Channel promo, which mixes shots from the original trilogy with some snippets from the new film - the most interesting of which sees General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) share a smile with Daisy Ridley's Rey. A passing of the torch from the female lead of the classic movies to one for the new generation? Sure - but there might be a little more going on here, too.

The first is actually another extended Disney Channel promo, which mixes shots from the original trilogy with some snippets from the new film – the most interesting of which sees General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) share a smile with Daisy Ridley’s Rey. It’s been rumored for a long time that Rey will turn out to either Han and Leia’s, or Luke’s daughter – which means she’s kin to the former Princess one way or the other. The question is, which character (if any) knows the truth, and who’s still in the dark?

The second spot, meanwhile, is fairly standard, and features several exciting new glimpses of action as Finn and Rey get to grips with flying the Millennium Falcon.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be with us on December 18. Until then, check out the new spots above and below and start getting excited!
