The CW has released an extended promo for The Flash‘s 2016 return, and despite the massive revelations in the midseason finale, the focus here is very much on Barry Allen’s relationship with Patty Spivot. As you can see in the video above, the Scarlet Speedster decides to tell his girlfriend that he’s secretly The Flash, but he’s interrupted by an unknown Metahuman and Patty is kidnapped.
Despite what the preview appears to imply, it’s not Zoom that takes her, though it might just be the recently cast Tar Pit. It’s hard to say, and as The CW has yet to release an official synopsis, we’re forced to just speculate for now.
[zergpaid]It should be interesting to see how things develop between Barry and Patty, while the reveal that Earth-2’s Harrison Wells is going to work with Zoom in order to make The Flash faster so the villain can steal his speed – in return for the safe return of his daughter – is another plot thread which is sure to dominate the second half of the season.
