Launching just before the year’s end, developer Telltale Games has dated Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 4 – A Block and a Hard Place for December 22, when it will launch across consoles, PC and mobile devices.
Coming off the back of a strong third episode, here’s what to expect from the penultimate installment in Telltale’s Minecraft: Story Mode, though fair warning, the following logline divulges some spoiler-sensitive information, so perhaps it’s best to get up to speed with the studio’s adventure before ruining the story ahead of time.
In Episode Four, with the fearsome Wither Storm more dangerous than ever, Jesse, Reuben, and the crew discover there is one thing that can destroy the command block at the heart of the monster – but they’ll need to brave the perils of the Farlands to find it. As uneasy allies and ailing friends threaten to tear the group apart, can they defeat the Wither Storm in their final battle? And what sacrifices must be made to succeed? Find out in Episode Four’s epic ‘Wither Storm Finale’ that will turn the page on one chapter, before adventures may begin anew…
Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 4 – A Brick and a Hard Place will now launch across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC/Mac, iOS and Android on December 22. For those who picked up the physical version of Telltale’s licensed series, expect episode 4 to go live via an online update day and date.
