Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 Will Hit PS3 And Xbox 360 This Week

Those who’ve been awaiting the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will be happy to know that the last-gen versions of the skateboarding catastrophe are expected to hit store shelves this very week. However, whether many people actually fall under that category remains to be seen, given how poorly the current-gen versions have fared since launch.

If you find that your need for interactive skateboarding can’t be quenched by replaying past Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and SKATE games, then you can at least go in knowing that these last-gen versions were held back for fine tuning and bug removal. Activision and Robomodo have also been working hard towards fixing the technical mess that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions ended up being, although that won’t improve their core gameplay mechanics by any stretch of the imagination.

It will certainly be interesting to see how Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 ends up performing and selling on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but if I were you, I’d wait to read impressions before putting any amount of money down on it.
