With all the hype surrounding Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it’d be easy to forget that there are several other very exciting films that are headed our way in the near future. In July 2016, Paul Feig will bring us the much-anticipated Ghostbusters reboot, which stars Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig and Leslie Jones.
With production currently underway, a brand new image of the core cast has been released, showing the leading women striking a pose in full costume. The photo makes it pretty apparently that this crew is not to be messed with and that they’re definitely going to have no problem busting some ghosts.
As for the context of the image, it appears that the crew is in some kind of lobby with an ominous green mist surrounding them, but it doesn’t seem like it’s taken from a scene in the movie. Instead, it’s most likely just a promotional shot, which is fine. It’s a pretty kick-ass photo and hopefully it signals the imminent arrival of a first trailer.
Ghostbusters will hit theatres on July 15th, 2016 and also stars Chris Hemsworth, Andy Garcia and Michael Kenneth Williams.
