The focus here is very much on Savage, as he enacts his plan to take over the Earth, though we also get some great shots of the team in action. The Arrow/The Flash spinoff looks suitably epic, and while the first episode is currently shrouded in secrecy, the network has released a general description of the series which at least offers some insight into the events which will kick off this adventure:

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

Legends of Tomorrow has a ton of potential, and while there are conflicting rumours about The CW possibly changing the roster of the team in season two (possibly leading to an appearance from Matt Ryan’s Constantine), it’s going to be a lot of fun seeing this lot come together on January 21st.
