Matt Letscher Will Return As Reverse-Flash In Season 2 Of The Flash

Just like Arrow's Deathstroke has yet to be topped, it's hard to imagine another villain ever being as good as Reverse-Flash in The Flash. Zoom has certainly been a lot of fun so far, but Eobard Thawne (who spent most of the first season wearing the face of Harrison Wells) was a truly great bad guy, and one that fans would love to see more of.

Just like Arrow‘s Deathstroke has yet to be topped, it’s hard to imagine another villain ever being as good as Reverse-Flash in The Flash. Zoom has certainly been a lot of fun so far, but Eobard Thawne (who spent most of the first season wearing the face of Harrison Wells) was a truly great bad guy, and one that fans would love to see more of.

Well, that’s now coming, but Tom Cavanagh won’t be the one suiting up. Instead, the actor who played the real Eobard Thawne is coming back – Matt Letscher will reprise the role in the eleventh episode of The CW series in an episode rather appropriately titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns.”

Seeing as he was being wiped from reality the last time we saw him in The Flash, how exactly this is going to play out is a mystery. However, executive producer Todd Helbing, who has written the episode featuring Letscher’s return with Aaron Helbing, revealed:

“His impossible return to Central City puts a member of the S.T.A.R. Labs team in unexpected danger, forcing Barry to make a life-changing decision.”

A dream sequence? An Earth-2 counterpart? That remains to be seen, but seeing more of Eobard Thawne in The Flash will be no bad thing, that’s for sure.
