The downtempo/future bass superstar recently tested out an edit of Rustie’s “Big Catzz” that sent his audience into an uproar. Rustie’s recent “addiction and mental health problems” have put his own tour on an indefinite hold, so Robinson playing the track could be interpreted as a gesture of solidarity. After all, he keeps enough of the original track intact that it could easily be identified – but an effervescent sparkle of synths and pitch bend at the drop gives it an undeniably Porter Robinson-esque quality.

Substance abuse is an all-too-familiar side of the music industry. In light of Porter Robinson giving Rustie support in his own way, We Got This Covered also wishes the Scottish producer all the best during what is undoubtedly a difficult time and hopes that he recovers as soon as possible.
