Following the release of the regular version yesterday, Empire Magazine has now unveiled their subscriber’s only cover featuring Deadpool. This one is a little too rude for store shelves, but it features the Merc with the Mouth breaking the fourth wall as he addresses readers in a way that only he can.

Those of you familiar with the titular hero will be well aware of his habit of breaking the fourth wall, and in a recent interview with Empire, director Tim Miller explained how they’re going about handling that on the big screen:

“I didn’t have any trouble with it at all. I guess if you didn’t know the character and feel like that was the right way to handle him, it could be a little difficult to figure out where and when to deploy it, but because I knew Deadpool did that and I was comfortable with it – it was one of the things I liked about him – we tried to do it. I mean, it was built in from the get-go, so it was kind of planned. We did go back when we did some additional photography. We liked it so much that we got even a little more. And we tried to use it more for an opportunity to just lay down exposition on people which I think is cool.”

If there’s one thing that’s a guarantee at this stage, it’s that Deadpool is going to be 2016’s most offbeat and unique superhero movie, and we can hardly wait any longer for it.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand, Deadpool is set to be released on February 12th, 2016.
