Scalebound may have suffered a rather large setback by being delayed into 2017, but the Xbox One‘s indie line-up is safe and sound for now, so says Microsoft.

The company’s marketing executive, Aaron Greenberg, told Gamertag Radio just recently that Cuphead, Inside and Below are all still scheduled for release in 2016, despite them being absent from Microsoft’s 2016 statement that lists all of this year’s upcoming titles.

Those are three huge ID titles. If you played Limbo you’re definitely excited to see what Playdead’s bringing next with Inside. We know the guys at Capy make incredible games and Below has been a title that’s been anticipated for a very long time. And then Cuphead is a console-exclusive for us. Lifetime exclusive. And so that’s a big title that we’ve bet on.

None of these titles do we want to rush but [Cuphead] is one of the big exclusives we’re looking forward to for 2016 and the game is fantastic, and we’ll want to make sure it’s released when it’s ready. But it’s absolutely planning to come out in 2016 and as we get closer to timing we’ll share more details.

Along with the Xbox One’s strong line-up of triple-A games like ReCore, Gears Of War 4 and Crackdown 3 as well as its slew of indie offerings, it truly looks like the Xbox One could be the console to beat this year. Sony’s PlayStation 4 has Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and No Man’s Sky up its sleeve though, so who knows.

Either way, 2016 is already shaping up to be a fantastic year for gamers.
