The east coast will be getting their own edition of the famed Coachella festival this summer, as the recently revealed Panorama prepares to open its gates for its inaugural event this July. Panorama was first announced in fall 2015 amid controversy, after Goldenvoice, the promotional company behind Coachella, revealed their intention to host the festival at Corona Park in Queens.

Following a petition set forth by the smaller Queens based festival Governor’s Ball, Coachella has switched up their original plan, moving the location for Panorama to Randall’s Island in order to avoid competition.

Kicking off July 22-24, Panorama will be serving up “Three days of music, art, technology, and local food offerings,” executed with the precision music lovers have come to expect from Coachella. While there’s no word yet on who will be slated to perform at the new festival, it’s safe to say Panorama will rank among the top events of this festival season.
