It has come to our attention — thanks to Game Informer — that Titanfall developer, Respawn Entertainment, is, in fact, hard at work on third-person action/adventure game in addition to Titanfall 2. This news solidifies rumours of such a project, after job listings were seen back in 2014.
“We are now recruiting designers for two game development projects – a new game in the Titanfall universe as well as a new 3rd person action/adventure IP,” reads a job listing on Gamasutra. “Respawn is seeking a Senior Level Designer to embrace and contribute to the project vision, breathing life into the gameplay world and helping define the moment to moment player experience.”
This is interesting news to say the least, and it perhaps has something to do with Respawn Entertainment having hired ex-God of War III director, Stig Asmussen, back in the summer of 2014. We’ll keep you notified as we learn more about the project, though, as this is all we know right now and anything more would be pure speculation.
