CBS has released the first promo for next week’s episode of Supergirl, and it features the arrival of classic Superman villain Toyman in National City. Here’s the synopsis for the episode – titled “Childish Things” – courtesy of the network:

Kara does her best to support Winn when his father, the supervillain Toyman, breaks out of prison and seeks out his son for unknown reasons. Also, Cat offers Lucy a job at CatCo and Alex asks Hank to use his powers to help uncover Maxwell Lord’s plans, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, Jan. 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Henry Czerny guest stars as Winslow Schott, Sr., aka Toyman.

The footage above definitely makes it clear that Toyman will be a formidable foe to Supergirl, and learning more about Winn’s past promises to be a nice change of pace. After all, the majority of episodes have so far revolved around either Kara’s Kryptonian or Earth families, and fleshing out a supporting cast member is never a bad thing, right?

Tell us, are you looking forward to meeting Supergirl‘s take on this bad guy? Sound off below and let us know.
