Star Wars: The Force Awakens Gets A Thumbs Up From BB-8 In New Critics TV Spot

While Star Wars: The Force Awakens now looks set to fall to #2 or #3 at the North American box office this weekend, it remains not only the biggest movie of 2015, but one of the most successful releases in history. Analysts believe that the film will end up grossing upwards of $2 billion worldwide, a figure which should mean it tops Titanic but will fall slightly short of defeating Avatar.

The droid has won over the hearts of everybody, becoming one of Disney’s biggest sellers in terms of merchandise for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. That’s really not all that surprising though, especially as demand for remote controlled replicas of BB-8 were selling out months before the movie was even released.

Starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now playing in cinemas worldwide.
