Two new TV spots for Deadpool have been released, and they both contain some fantastic new action sequences from the movie. Many of the recent previews have recycled old footage, but these ones contain some great shots which haven’t been seen before now.
So far, Deadpool certainly has all the makings of a hit, but it’s hard to say if the movie’s quirky and unique approach to the superhero genre will find a sizeable audience or end up going the way of the critically acclaimed, but financial disaster, Dredd. Fox seem fairly confident in the movie anyway, based on recent reports, so providing all goes well next month, the Merc with the Mouth will be here to stay.
Bear in mind that the studio has reportedly put the Deadpool sequel in the slot held by Fantastic Four 2, so things are certainly looking good for Wade Wilson right about now. We’ll just have to wait and see how it all pans out, but if the film’s unique marketing campaign has paid off, Deadpool might just end up exceeding expectations.
Starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand, Deadpool is set to be released on February 12th, 2016.
