Is This Odin’s Role In Thor: Ragnarok?

Some possible details on the role Anthony Hopkins' Asgardian Allfather, Odin, will play in Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok have come to light. When last we saw Hopkins portray the character on screen it was in the closing scene of Thor: The Dark World, but it was actually revealed to be Loki in disguise. According to Geek.com, Odin escaped Loki’s wrath, but only as far as Earth. They reckon he’ll still be featured in the movie, but in a way you’d never expect.

Here’s what they had to say:

Odin has fled Asgard for Midgard, where he wanders the Earth as one of those crazy-looking “the end is nigh” street-corner hobos, warning of the impending apocalypse.

That sounds… kind of awesome actually. We’ve previously been told that the majority of the Thor threequel will take place in the other realms, but if this is correct, then the God of Thunder and his pals will obviously stop off on Midgard for at least a flying visit. Will Odin be the one to warn them of the impending Ragnarok? Time will tell.

Take this as a rumor for now, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted if any more info comes our way.

Thor Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017.
