Here Active Listening Lets You Control The Volume Of Your Coachella Experience

The notion that attendees of live music events would be able to adjust the volume of their experience might sound far-fetched, but anyone going to Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2016 will have the opportunity to do exactly that. A Kickstarted-funded Doppler Labs technology called Here Active Listeningâ„¢ enables its users to control the volume of their environment and will be available to everyone at the festival.

It might sound far fetched that attendees of live music events would be able to adjust the volume of their experience, but anyone going to Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2016 will have the opportunity to do exactly that. A Kickstarted-funded Doppler Labs technology called Here Active Listening™ enables its users to control the volume of their environment and will be available to everyone at the festival.

Here Active Listeningâ„¢ uses state-of-the-art earbuds synced wirelessly to a mobile phone app to allow its wearer to not only control the volume of the outside world but also filter out background noise, boost the bass or add reverb. The current waitlist to purchase the device is over 25,000, but through a partnership with Coachella the festival’s attendees will be able to buy them in advance and the festival’s stages will be optimized for their use.

Doppler Labs CEO and Cofounder Noah Kraft said:

We are elated to bring Here Active Listening to Coachella in 2016 and provide attendees the tools to personalize their live music experience. We could not have asked for a more ideal partner to help us demonstrate the power of Here Active Listening and work with us to fully integrate Here into the festival experience. This is a big step for Doppler as we work to transform how we hear the world, and redefine the boundaries of what is possible with in-ear technology.

As Coachella released its lineup a matter of weeks ago, it only makes sense that the festival’s organizers will announce similar partnerships in the coming months.
