Extended Promo For The Flash Season 2, Episode 11: “The Reverse-Flash Returns”

Now that The Flash has returned from its winter hiatus, it looks as though fans can expect everything including the kitchen sink in upcoming episodes. Next week's brand new episode, which is titled "The Reverse-Flash Returns" (yes, his name is now suddenly hyphenated), had fans talking as soon as it was announced the character would be returning. Thankfully, The CW just released an extended look at what is sure to be a white knuckle ride of an episode, which can be viewed above.

One of the many things that will make this episode an interesting viewing is that The Reverse-Flash will be played by Matthew Letscher, whom fans will remember as the true face of Eobard Thawne. This iteration of the character actually happens to be from an alternate timeline and, as Earth 2 Harrison Wells says in the trailer, “This is his origin story.” I have complete faith in the show’s producers because they always manage to make what may seem like a convoluted concept on paper become totally believable and work well within the parameters the show has established.

You can also look forward to seeing  the future Kid Flash, Wally West, begin to bond with his family. His road to becoming a hero will likely be a slow burn, yet be a rewarding journey for viewers.

When Cisco (Carlos Valdes) gets a vibe of Eobard Thawne (guest star Matthew Letscher), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team don’t believe it. But, after an attack at Mercury Labs, Christina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays) confirms that the Reverse Flash is back. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) and Francine (guest star Vanessa A. Williams) share a nice moment that brings Iris closer to her brother, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale). Michael Allowitz directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing (#211). Original airdate 1/26/2016.

The Flash airs Tuesday nights at 8:00 pm EST on The CW.
