Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Images Officially Released By Empire

Empire Magazine has put out a batch of Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice stills from their upcoming March issue, but only 3 (the intriguing "Omega Symbol" Darkseid tease, Supe's heat vision blast, and Batman in his battle-armor) are actually officially released versions of these scans, while the other 2 seem to be hi-res screenshots from earlier trailers.

Empire Magazine has put out a batch of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice stills from their upcoming March issue, but only three (the intriguing “Omega Symbol” Darkseid tease, Supe’s heat vision blast, and Batman in his battle-armor) are actually officially released versions of the scans. The other 2 seem to be hi-res screenshots from earlier trailers.

In addition to the images, producer Charles Roven discussed with Empire Ben Affleck’s take on an older, more world-weary, and altogether more ruthless Dark Knight.

Here’s what he had to say:

[Batman] is not giving people a chance. He is more than a vigilante. He has become not only the cop, if you will, he has also become the jury and executioner. He’s older, [and] he’s seen the worst of what man can do. He’s been darkened by it, he’s tougher, he’s angrier, I guess. He’s still lost those that are near and dear to him, and not necessarily from old age or disease.

It’s unlikely that Roven means Batman has literally taken to outright murdering his opponents – but then again, there was that neck-snapping business in one of the trailers, and we also know he’d fond of bat-branding criminals, so who knows? Either way, we don’t have long to go now till we find out.

Also starring Henry Cavil, Gal Gadot , Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Jason Momoa and Holly Hunter, Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to open in theaters on March 25th, 2016.
