It’s been a monumental year for progressive house innovator Eric Prydz, but it won’t truly be his time for another couple days. Be that as it may, as the official release of the Swedish DJ/producer’s long awaited debut album approaches, he’s released a track from the effort to tide fans over.

“Last Dragon” features plenty of decidedly Eric Prydz hallmarks; layers of synth arpeggios lead the listener on a cerebral journey through each peak and valley of the sonically flawless arrangement. It’s a simpler, more introspective piece of music than the transcendental, borderline religious odysseys for which he’s known – but as with every song he’s been releasing in EPs, as well as those about to reach us by way of Opus, it’s likely served a very deliberate role in his live sets over the years.

As far as Eric Prydz debut album, Opus, is concerned, the official release date is February 5th. We’ll post out own review of the album ahead of its release, so make sure to check back in with us between now and then.
