The events open in The Guest when you check in to the rundown Oakwood hotel as Dr. Evgueni Leonov, an old Russian scientist who plans on making the Oakwood his new residence for a few days. Things take an unexpected turn, however, when Dr. Leonov discovers that he is actually being held captive within the confines of his rented room.

Players will soon discover that Leonov’s only hope for escape is to solve riddles and work through complex puzzles in order to discover the identity of his captor and their motives. All of the pieces and players are hidden in plain view, and it will be up to you to decipher the clues if  you hope to find freedom.

The Guest will feature an immersive story that puts you firmly into the shoes of its protagonist; you’ll experience the eerie atmosphere of the hotel and its complex challenges in first person and your progression will be influenced by what you are able to perceive in the hotel around you.

If the Oakwood hotel seems like your kind of getaway destination, you’ll be able to check in to The Guest when it releases through Steam on March 10th.
