British video game developer Double Eleven have added an experienced figure to their ongoing advisory board, as the studio continues its growth into development and publishing. Former Sony executive Shahid Ahmad is set to join the board and he will counsel Double Eleven as part of their strategic future.
Double Eleven are best known for development work with console versions of Goat Simulator, as well as for bringing Limbo to the PlayStation Vita. Ahmad has worked with the studio during his time at Sony, and spoke of his pleasure at being brought on board:
I’m honoured to be invited to Double Eleven’s Advisory Board… Double Eleven are relentlessly driven and their many excellent qualities will I’m sure propel them to greater success as they expand their publishing ambitions
In return, Double Eleven’s Chief Operating Officer Mark South explained his delight at being able to call on Ahmad’s vast experience:
Shahid’s incredible insight and background in the arena of independent development and publishing is overwhelmingly beneficial to Double Eleven; we’re so pleased to welcome him to our advisory board… Equally, and more personally, he is one of the hardest working people I know and his character has shown integrity and honesty throughout. I’m both proud and honoured that we’re able to work together.
The future certainly seems encouraging for the fledgling developers, who are currently putting the finishing touches to their new game:Â Prison Architect.
