Upon detailing plans for the first wave of expansions to release for Fallout 4, yesterday Bethesda revealed that the asking price for the game’s season pass will increase from $29.99 to $49.99 beginning March 1.
According to the publisher, upwards of $60 worth of DLC is in the works for this calendar year, which explains the pricing hike for Fallout 4‘s added content. Despite this, aggrieved fans took umbrage with the changes, leading Pete Hines, Vice President of PR and Marketing at Bethesda, to address some of the criticism directed at the developer.

@pne_moy We are doing a lot of DLC. If you don’t want to get SP and would rather buy the DLC individually, or not at all, do that, I guess

Automatron will herald the first wave of Fallout 4 DLC in March, following in quick succession by Wasteland Workshop and Far Harbor across April and May, respectively. As Hines noted in the Tweets, there is still time to pick up the RPG’s season pass at the original price of $29.99 before the price hike takes into effect on March 1.
