Concept Art Confirms Marvel Studios Easter Egg In Deadpool

After all, the Helicarrier is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and just like Deadpool can’t appear in a Marvel Studios movie, one of those iconic aircrafts shouldn’t show up in his movie.

Well, it turns out that it was a Helicarrier, and that’s now been confirmed with the concept art below. However, artist Emmanuel Shiu has stated that he was asked to make it look different enough to ensure its presence wouldn’t cause any problems (hence why it’s so damaged and decayed).

Regardless, this is still a very cool nod, though not something we should take as a sign of an upcoming crossover. While it would be nice to see Deadpool meet The Avengers, that won’t be happening any time soon.

Looking at this artwork though, it’s clear that it really was a Helicarrier and this is easily one of Deadpool‘s best Easter Eggs. With Marvel and Fox seemingly repairing their relationship in recent months with the planned launch of those X-Men TV shows, it will be interesting to see if we get any more of these vague nods to the MCU from Fox and vice versa.
