All eyes in the DC fanbase may currently be drawn to next month’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, but with such a busy slate lying in wait, Warner Bros. is quietly assembling plans for its budding extended universe.

Anchoring that sprawling vision is director Zack Snyder who, according to Entertainment Weekly, will get the cameras rolling on Justice League come April 11. Production is set to get underway in London, sharing a location with Patty Jenkins’ fellow DC tentpole, Wonder Woman, with Iceland also set to play host to Warner’s ensemble flick.

Arriving in two sizeable chunks similar to Marvel’s Infinity War, WB has tentatively placed Justice League – Part 1 for a release in November of 2017, with the conclusive installment pegged for June, 2019.

Per EW:

“The idea that we could begin to boot up a Justice League concept was a cool thing,” director Zack Snyder told the outlet. “It was a little bit of an ‘about time’ moment, and I don’t blame [the studio] for feeling that way, because it’s a long time coming, but I do feel like it’s a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, ‘Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there.’ But you have to [establish] a world where they can exist.”

Acting as ground zero, Dawn of Justice will get the ball rolling for Snyder and Co., allowing audiences to familiarize themselves with the DC Trinity – played by Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and the returning Henry Cavill – with fleeting nods to Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and Ezra Miller’s The Flash. Beyond that, there’s also the addition of Ray Fisher’s Cyborg to look forward to.

Both chapters in DC and Warner Bros. Justice League will launch across 2017 and 2019. Dawn of Justice, meanwhile, will jump-start the cinematic universe on March 25.
