TomorrowWorld Has Been Cancelled For 2016

We all saw it coming, but now it's official: TomorrowWorld has been cancelled for 2016. The event organizers took to their Facebook page to post the video below, which states that the fest will not be returning this year. However, that doesn't mean it's gone for good.

We all saw it coming, but now it’s official: TomorrowWorld has been cancelled for 2016. The event organizers took to their Facebook page to post the video below, which states that the fest will not be returning this year.

However, that doesn’t mean it’s gone for good. At the end of the clip, it says “this is not farewell,” which indicates that 2017 may see the return of the Atlanta-based fest. Nothing’s been confirmed just yet though and as of right now, all we know is that the 2016 edition is not happening.

While certainly unfortunate, it’s not like this was at all unexpected. After the complete debacle that was TomorrowWorld 2016, it was highly unlikely that the festival would return this year. That, combined with the recent failure of SFX spelt trouble for the event going forward, and though 2017 is still a possibility, I imagine that it will be at least a few years before the fest returns, if it even does at all.
