Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns from its hiatus next Tuesday, and the team are going to have to deal with the fallout from the events of the midseason finale, which saw Coulson and Fitz forced to take some pretty extreme measures to prevent the creature we now know as Hive from making it to earth.

Hive had taken control of Simmons’ other-worldly boyfriend Will, giving Fitz no choice other then to… well, brutally murder him. To be fair, there’s a good chance Will was a goner as soon as the evil Inhuman possessed him, but that doesn’t make Fitz feel any better about it.

In this sneak peek, Fitz admits his guilt to Coulson, but the hardened S.H.I.E.L.D. director brushes him off with a “sometimes we have to make the tough calls” speech. Besides, he’s much more interested in tracking down Malick and putting and end to him once an for all – and is clearly prepared to take some more of those extreme measures to do it.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for a “game-changing second half of season three” on March 8th.
