In “Skin Crawler,” adrenaline-pumping vocals by Tiki add fuel to the already invigorating buildup. After several measures, a cacophonous bass drop effectively elevates the energy of the arrangement to an explosive peak sure to send everyone on the dance floor of a warehouse into frenzied motion.

“Skin Crawler” is the second track from Black Sun Empire and State of Mind’s forthcoming The Violent Five EP. Yesterday’s markedly more dissonant “Twisted Up” can be heard below.
