Ben Affleck’s Caped Crusader may be getting slow in his old age, but that doesn’t stop him from marching into battle in today’s pair of new clips for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

In fact, while Affleck’s grizzled Bruce Wayne may lament his ageing reflexes, the snippets below irrefutably prove that his rendition of Batman may just be the most agile and aggressive version of Gotham’s Dark Knight that we’ve glimpsed on the big screen yet.

Hell-bent on bringing Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel down to size, there’s more footage of Alfred (Jeremy Irons) included as well, as the pair begin to rustle up a plan in order to quell Superman’s God-like abilities. And so comes the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world, with Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor stoking the fire from the sidelines.

Among the mix for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice are Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and fellow Justice League members The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), not to mention Holly Hunter as Senator Finch. Overseeing the case levelled against Cavill’s deity, the actress recently shared her own clip from the film that features a sliver of new footage from inside the U.S. Capitol Building. You can find both it and the aforementioned sizzle reel below.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is on course to hit theaters on March 25. It’ll be without Jena Malone’s character, though, who was recently cut from Snyder’s ensemble piece – and no, she wasn’t Robin or Batgirl, either.
