Buoyed by the near unanimous approval of its inaugural season, Netflix is poised to hit the ground running with the next chapter in Kimmy Schmidt’s story, as she continues to take the Big Apple by storm – after escaping from a doomsday cult in Indiana, can you really blame her?

Netflix has unveiled a series of platform-specific trailers across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, though the one embedded above represents the whole shebang. From awkward first dates to a budding new character at a year-round Christmas shop, the wonderful weirdness that helped fire Ellie Kemper’s show to success early last year is all there and more.

Also on board for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2 are Carol Kane, Jane Krakowski and Tituss Burgess, who is back as Kimmy’s wonderfully flamboyant close friend, Titus Andromedon.

Ellie Kemper stars as Kimmy Schmidt, a woman who escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York. After living in a cult for fifteen years, Kimmy decides to reclaim her life and start over in New York City. Armed with just a backpack, light-up sneakers, and a couple of way-past-due library books, she’s ready to take on a world she didn’t even think existed anymore. Wide-eyed but resilient, nothing is going to stand in her way.

All episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2 will hit Netflix on April 15. Kimmy’s shenanigans won’t end there, though, with plans already in place for an additional season in 2017.
