Latest Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Images Peel Back The Layers Of Warner’s Juggernaut

When you factor in every piece of promo material for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, it’s evident that Warner’s marketing campaign has blown past its crescendo, enjoyed an encore and, arguably, overstayed its welcome to showcase a little too much footage.

Representing what is surely one of the studio’s last hurrahs prior to its March 25 arrival is today’s batch of images, offering a new peek at Zack Snyder’s imminent superhero smackdown.

Granted, those who have kept pace with that all-consuming marketing campaign will recognize a handful of the stills included in the gallery above, but dig a little deeper and you’ll find fresh looks at Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince and Amy Adams’ Lois Lane.

At the crux of Dawn of Justice is, of course, Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill’s warring superheroes. Fearing global destruction in the wake of the Man of Steel’s city-levelling battle with General Zod, Affleck’s Caped Crusader comes out of semi-retirement armed to the teeth in order to keep Superman in check. Toss in Jesse Eisenberg’s conniving Lex Luthor and you have an old-school standoff – albeit with a stylized twist.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will touch down in theaters on March 25, sending the DC Extended Universe off on its multi-film journey in the process.
