New Supergirl Clip Places DEO Under Microscope

CBS has released the first clip from this coming Monday's brand new episode of Supergirl, which bears the exciting title of "Manhunter," and can be viewed at the top. This installment looks to be the culmination of everything that has been brewing with Hank Henshaw/J'onn J'onzz/The Martian Manhunter since the start of the series and is one that I personally can't wait to see.

This installment looks to be the culmination of everything that has been brewing with Hank Henshaw/J’onn J’onzz/The Martian Manhunter since the start of the series and is one that I personally can’t wait to see.

In the clip, Lucy Lane leads a Marine Corps inquisition putting the DEO under investigation, much to the chagrin of Supergirl and her sister, Alex Danvers. This scrutiny is a result of Martian Manhunter being forced to publicly reveal himself following Kara’s going berserk thanks to Red Kryptonite exposure in the most recent episode, “Falling.”

Although the military has every right to be suspicious of an alien they truly know nothing about, part of me wonders if Lucy has some animosity toward Supergirl, seeing as how she was a catalyst for her recent breakup with James Olsen.

But what will really make this episode a must see is the fact that we will finally see the events that caused Martian Manhunter to assume the identity of Hank Henshaw detailed. Not only that, but we will learn exactly what went down between he and Dr. Jeremiah Danvers. Is it even possible that his testimony will get him reinstated? Or will the status quo be forever changed now that the cat is out of the bag? Perhaps the DEO feels Supergirl is one alien too many in their employ – and technically they don’t even give her a paycheck.

For more details, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

J’onn J’onzz reveals the details of meeting Kara and Alex’s father, Dr. Jeremiah Danvers (Dean Cain), and assuming Hank Henshaw’s identity. Also, Kara debates trusting someone new with her secret identity and Siobhan (Italia Ricci) plots against Kara, on Supergirl, Monday, March 21 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
