The big-screen debut of Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is obviously something fans are very excited for, and even though we’ve been told not to expect to see too much of Gal Gadot in the role this time around, it’s very clear from the trailers that she’s going to be in the middle of her fair share of action.
The question is, how many of the character’s wide array of abilities will be depicted?
In the comics, Diana is pretty much on the same level as Superman in terms of strength, speed and flight, and she also wields a very handy Lasso of Truth –  but from the sounds of the following interview with producer Deborah Snyder, at least some of those attributes won’t be on display until the Patty Jenkins-directed solo film.
I think that Zack and Geoff Johns sat down and outlined these stories, many of them at least. Really, we did a chart with what their powers were, like what Superman’s powers were, and I think you see a little bit of Wonder Woman. So we get a sense of her power but we didn’t want to do too much because obviously Patty’s going to build up to that and we’re going to learn how she discovers her powers in that movie.
If I had to guess, I’d say stuff like the lasso and most likely Diana’s ability to fly (though you may well see her leap pretty far) will only be showcased when Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 23rd, 2017, but we’ll find out for sure this Friday when Batman V Superman finally arrives.
