Welcoming back Will Arnett’s boisterous Caped Crusader, the snippet opens with a brief prologue featuring Arnett’s vigilante who not only prefaces the trailer by describing just how awesome he is, but reminds us that the Dark Knight is just as gleefully arrogant and vain as the character introduced in 2014’s The LEGO Movie.

But there’s danger afoot in Gotham, with the film’s synopsis teasing a “hostile takeover” staged by the Joker (Zach Galifianakis) that may force Batman to do the unthinkable – work with others. Amid the one-liners and sly nods to the camera, you’ll also see a shot of the Caped Crusader flanked by the leading members of the Justice League. Also on board for the animated romp are Michael Cera as Robin, Ralph Fiennes as Batman’s right-hand man Alfred, Zach Galifianakis as the irreverent Clown Prince of Crime, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl and, finally, Mariah Carey as the Mayor of Gotham.

The LEGO Batman Movie takes flight on February 10, 2017.

But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
