Today, Fatshark have announced that their tabletop-inspired Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide has sold over half a million units for PC alone. The Games Workshop themed title surpassed the milestone very recently and the game’s early success has been bolstered by some very worthy DLC additions.

Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark, spoke on behalf of the studio in a prideful announcement about Vermintide‘s early successes:

We are really happy with the sales so far. We reached half a million copies much faster than we estimated. As a small studio, this really is an amazing milestone for us. The office is a hive of excitement. We are overwhelmed by the positive response from both players and critics alike, and this has given us the extra drive to continue providing exciting and engaging content so that everyone can continue to enjoy the game long into the future.

Fatshark have previously confirmed that further DLC will be added to the game, with the next content update heading for the PC iteration at the beginning of May.

Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide is also slated for a console release in the first half of 2016, although no confirmed release date is known at this time.
