Sound the Young Adult reunion klaxon, Deadline is reporting that Charlize Theron is eyeing a new collaboration with Jason Reitman and Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody.

Bearing no title and zero plot details outside of the fact that it’ll revolve around motherhood, it’s clear that Theron’s new feature role is still incubating in the nascent stages of development. Indeed, Deadline notes that negotiations are still taking place, so expect further details to emerge in the coming weeks and months.

Breaking onto the scene with their award-winning work on the Ellen Page-fronted Juno, Reitman and Diablo Cody continue to be two exciting creators that you daren’t take your eyes off. Soon after Young Adult graced theaters in all its harrowing, no-holds-barred glory, Reitman moved on to work on Men, Women and Children in 2014, before directing a handful of episodes for Hulu’s original comedy, Casual. Cody, on the other hand, recently wrapped up work on Ricki and the Flash, the musical comedy that placed Meryl Streep in the role of an ageing rock star.

As for Charlize Theron, the South African actress can soon be seen tearing up the Kingdom of Tabor in Universal’s fantasy prequel/sequel/spinoff The Huntsman Winter’s War, while talk of a Furiosa spinoff based in the Mad Max universe is never too far from the limelight. Expect firm details for Theron’s Young Adult reunion to begin seeping out once a production timeline has been nailed down.
