If you’ve played the first game and are excited about Banner Saga 2, then this trailer will be an encouraging comfort for you. It shows of more of the vast, gorgeous landscapes from its predecessor and sets up a whole new journey to sink your teeth into.

At times in the trailer the snow-covered vistas are startlingly huge, but in the close-up segments the game looks just as good. The combat looks smooth and refined and the cinematic storytelling sections are beautifully rendered. Teases for new conflicts and characters are simply the cherry on top.

You’ll be urged to “reach your destination and face whatever comes next” when Banner Saga 2 releases on April 19th. Until then, you can pick up the first game on Steam for 75% off the regular price if you’ve yet to experience the series.
